William Kuecks Beichler scrapbook, 1920-1924.

The contents of this collection consist of a scrapbook created by William Kuecks Beichler. The scrapbook contains photographs pertaining to many Penn State sporting events, such as football and track meets. He also includes photographs of activities undertaken as part of the Forestry Club, particularly concerning the logging industry, camping in the countryside surrounding Penn State, and the Forestry float in the parades. In addition to these activities, Mr. Beichler included photographs of different aspects of student life, such as house parties at fraternities, the inside of dorm rooms, ROTC activities, and class "scraps" like Tug-of-war, which appear to have occurred annually. Mr. Beichler also includes several photographs of the Penn State campus, highlighting Old Main.

William Kuecks Beichler was from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He studied farm forestry at Penn State and his degree was conferred with second honors on June 15, 1925. He later held posts with the United States Forest Service in Maryland and Idaho, and then came to North Carolina as a district forester in 1941.
